The 13th National Scouts Archery Competition took place on 11th to 13th May at Phasels Wood in Hertfordshire. A team of 12 Cubs and Scouts, accompanied by 7 Leaders, represented Runnymede during the weekend and competed against 415 archers in the disciplines of clout, target and field archery. Despite the torrential rain, the Runnymede Archery Team brought home 4 medals and a trophy making 2018 the most successful out of the last 7 years of attending the competition. Illian Taylor won gold in the U11 Clout Competition with an impressive score; in the 20 yard Target Competition Thomas Huffer won silver in the U11 category and Frazer Williams won bronze. Frazer continued to win a further bronze in the Field Archery event.
